December Challenge - Resolution

Not solely reserved for the new year. Make the change now. With many festive events on the horizon it is easy to put aside healthy habits, such as good food choices and time to exercise. It is a challenge, hence the name. Resolve this month to start 2014 in better shape than you started the final month of 2013.

Three tasks:

1). Water (drink 2-3 litres daily).

2). Protein (start your mornings with a protein meal: omelettes, protein shakes, bean burritos, Greek yoghurt...)

3). 20 minutes of daily activity (being fit is not a 3x a week gig, do something EVERY DAY....walk, stretch and meditate, lift weights, skip, jog on the spot, take the stairs, body weight squats, sit ups, push ups... You get the idea.... Make the time, you are worth it)

#300aDAY

The appointment challenge is halfway complete. Making time in your schedule for activity can be difficult. In an effort to assist the 'appointment', members of the Jo:Moma team have joined the Facebook group #300aDAY and encourage you to do the same. November's challenge is 300 a day. Created by Dai Manuel, this challenge is 30 days of 100 push-ups, 100 crunches/sit-ups, & 100 body weight squats daily. (If need be, break down the 100's into sets that you are capable of doing. Your sets end when you have accomplished 100 of each exercise that day). If this is daunting, check out the videos posted by Dai in the Facebook group #300aDAY for techniques on form and modifications.
You can do it!!!

This months challenge, make an appointment for you. Schedule time in your calendar on a daily basis where you do something active for YOU. You must not miss the appointment. 30 days of allotted active time. Guaranteed end result: a happier, healthier you. This is harder than it sounds. Jo:Moma knows you can do it.
